About Us...
The Keysell Family have been farming in Rochford since 1921. Our 90 acre farm has produced fruit, beef, lamb, pork, cereals and other things over the past century. Now we concentrate on rearing livestock in a traditional way, to produce delicious meat that we sell at Farmers' Markets.
Andrew butchers all the meat himself as well as helping Jim, his dad with
the farming. Our sheep in front of a wonderful view

Saddleback Pigs-These are great pigs. They are docile, excellent mothers and produce wonderful pork, bacon and sausages. We keep them outdoors all year round and they are free to roam and express all their natural piggy instincts. The pigs are Andrew's personal favourites. They are expressive characters and each one is an individual. We have twelve sows and they all have their own personality.

Beef-we like traditional British Breeds, so we use Hereford x, Aberdeen Angus and Belted Galloway. All these breeds are slow growing and ideal for low impact farming. The beef they produce is outstanding, with marbling through the meat and just enough fat cover to create wonderful flavour and succulent joints. Our cattle are fed a diet of silage and barley in the winter months and grass throughout the spring, summer and autumn. We house them in large sheds in winter with plenty of straw to lie on and feed available all the time.
